Rosso di Montalcino DOC Rabissi


A thousand bottles per year, a production that we can define as private. Only the best grape comes to the cellar, selected and harvested by hand. Only Sangiovese, the fermentation is in red with macerations of 15 days at a temperature of 26-28°C. After the malolactic fermentation the wine rests in steel tanks, after the winter it starts the refinement in small oak barrels for 1 year.

Rosso di Montalcino DOC Rabissi

The Rosso di Montalcino DOC Rabissi is characterized by a ruby red colour and garnet reflections, at the nose there are hints of red fruit and jam, followed by toasted and spicy notes, of vanilla. On the palate it is warm and persistent, it is characterized by tannins, structure and elegance. As the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Rabissi, it is a wine made with great care.

The Rosso di Montalcino DOCG Rabissi is the wine of tradition. Made with grapes harvested by hand, to guarantee the correct times for maturation, a careful control of damaged berries and of plants. Made with a fermentation in red, with the peelings in contact with the must for 15 days, and after the malolactic fermentation is done, the wine rests in steel tanks. The refinement is done in oak barrels and tonneaux. In this way a structured but fresh wine is born, that emits fresh fruit scents, floral notes and, at the same time, it has got structure and persistence. A wine of great balance which makes it suitable for multiple convivial moments.

Organoleptic characteristics

The Rosso di Montalcino DOC Rabissi stands out visually with a red ruby colour, at the nose it is fresh with fruity notes. On the gustatory analysis it is intense, pleasant and featured by an excellent balance. These are qualities that make it appreciated in the widest combinations.


Thanks to its freshness and structure at the same time, the Rosso di Montalcino DOC Rabissi matches with all cured meats and all cheeses belonging with Tuscan tradition. Excellent with toasted bread with liver paté, it can be tasted with fresh pasta courses with meat ragout, also accompanying the most delicate meat roasts.
